Lulworth Cove, Dorset
I've just returned from the most wonderful holiday in rural Dorset, south-west England. It's just so peaceful there! Dorset is clearly a county that people pass through on the way to Devon and Cornwall, but by getting off the beaten track and into the little villages, there is a tranquility to be experienced that's a million miles from the business of London. I swam in Lulworth Cove above and although the water wasn't warm, it was surprisingly un-cold. We were staying in a cottage in 'Thomas Hardy country' where the author wrote his books. There is such great walking to be done around Milton Abbas with hills, woods and quietness apart from the birds and rustling leaves on trees. There are also lots of small beautiful villages. I mustn't over sell this area as it may not retain its quietness!

This was far from a holiday of doing nothing. In fact we did quite a lot....walking several miles most days as well as me getting up for dawn to do early morning photography in the woods. But a change is as good as a rest. Activity holidays can provide so much, with the sense of satisfaction and reward.
But it's good to be back and I'll be blogging regularly as usual now.
Hope you're well.
