A good start to the year
Do you sometimes feel something so strongly that it is in your bones? You just know something. Well I've had such a strong feeling that 2007 is going to be a good year....a particularly good and auspicious year when some exciting and wonderful things are going to transpire. Of course there is no 'knowing' as such, but I feel it in my bones.
But although I feel that a year with 007 in it is going to be good and particularly as the number 7 is my birthday and my lucky number, I did not however, expect the email I received this morning. This was truly a surprise. Although I had submitted this site to 9 Rules, I did not really expect to be elected as a member. It just goes to show, you never know what is around the corner. (Although I must admit to having visualised their yellow, orange and green leaf logo in the sidebar of my blog! What you think is what you get?) This year has kicked off rather well, don't you think?
9 Rules is a small and select community of a few hundred Bloggers. Apparently there are many thousands of people who would like to be members and who have submitted their site for consideration but have been disappointed. After two years of existence, 9 Rules has just conducted its fifth round of submissions which they hold on specific dates. Those sites which are accepted have to show the highest standards in content, design, writing etc, to become members and number as few as between 12-15% of the total submissions, so they represent the best of the blogs in the world. Well yours truly, is now delighted and feeling quite honoured to be amongst such company.
So as New Year passes and we glide into the middle of January when days are starting to stretch by two minutes a day and the ice and snow seems to be happy to stay away (at least from Britain), I hope you too have dreams to look forward to, plans to implement, New Year Resolutions to fulfil and a few chocolates to demolish before your diet starts properly. I hope 2007 is as wickedly good for you as I intend it to be for me.
