Live your dream

Do you have a dream? Do you have an idea for something that excites you, something you'd love to do, to have or to experience? It may be owning a new house, going on a special holiday, having the most wonderful romance, to be free of pain, to play your sport better, be able to sing,
have a sports car or have more time in the garden. Do you have an idea or dream that inspires you?

OK. But now here's the rub. How much time do you give to thinking about what you do want? We may have some dreams, but they are so often just considered as a little wishful and fanciful thinking, but are not based on any reality and we think "I must get on with the day and think about what's in hand.....sort out the problems.....pay the bills..... or worse, how on earth am I going to pay the bills?!" So it's easy to see where we are putting our attention. We are focusing on 'what is'.

But there is a irrefutable law......and that is the Law of Attraction. It's the law of whatever is thought about, is brought about. 'What you think is what you get'. And how many times have you heard me say that?

So here we are, busy focusing on our problems....trying to find solutions. Well, I don't care if it's solving problems or avoiding problems....what you're thinking about is 'problems' so that's what we will attract towards us. We attract more of the same. If you're thinking "How do I get out of debt?" it doesn't matter whether it's how to get out of it or how to fix it...you're still thinking 'debt' so that's what you'll get more of.

So while we may recognise we have dreams, it's clear that we give far less attention to them than we do to sorting out 'today's problems'. What we need to do is not think 'problems' but 'solutions'. Think of what we truly do want....not what we do not want!

We are prone to think far too much about 'what is', rather than what we want. If we think about 'what is', then we attract more of 'what is'. So guess why we feel stuck in a rut and unable to move on?

Thoughts become things, as Mike Dooley has so succinctly put it. We attract towards us what we think about. The moment we are living right now is the result of our past thinking....yesterday, the day before and last month. We are constantly living the life 'thought about' previously, which has now 'come about'.

Yes, I hear you shouting that we must live in the present. The 'Power of Now' is all about living in the present. OK and absolutely yes. Joy, contentment and peace of mind comes from being in the present moment. It's ultimately satisfying. But that doesn't stop us from knowing what we would also like. Today's dreams bring tomorrows reality. It's a really good idea to give some time each day, be it 5 minutes or 15, to think about what we do want. Go and put your favourite album on, listen to some beautiful music, close your eyes and send yourself to that desert island and feel the sand beneath your toes and warm sun on your back. Open the front door of your lovely new country cottage, feel the sports steering wheel of your new Porsche between your hands. Put yourself into the picture and feel it as though it's real. Make it real. This is your film and you're the producer, director, scene setter and actor, so no one is holding you back. It's up to you. And whatever you picture and regularly picture daily over a period of time will be attracted towards you. Feel the joy of experiencing what you want. Manufacture the joy, elation and happiness of achieving your dreams. The Universe will provide the situation to match your emotions. Always. Don't worry about 'how'. Leave the 'how' to the Universe to sort out for you. With all due respect, you and none of us can possibly know all the billions of events and occurences around the world that will provide what we visualise.

And if you feel after a month or whatever that nothing is happening, don't give up. How do you know it's not just around the corner? If you think "It's just not working." Guess what.....what you think about is brought about....and you'll get what you think! So stay with it.

Don't think of what is' all the time. Devote some thinking time to what you do want. Use the 33 Second Technique I wrote about just a few days ago. Your future experience is the result of your current thinking.

Even better and much quicker is a new pill you can swallow just as easily - in 2 seconds, and that's a not inconsiderable saving of 33 seconds, if you like swallowing things. It will even save billions on medical research, decent housing, civilised & cared for communities, proper wages, good schools, decent health care, child care, elder care, you name it, all those pesky realities that really get in the way. And, you can blame anyone refusing to swallow. It's their own damned fault!
