Alex Rodriguez became the youngest player in major league history to hit 500 home runs.
We can easily get into a routine of doing the same thing on a regular basis; coming to work, meeting friends, doing the washing on a certain day, wearing the same shirt or dress, getting out of bed in the same manner each time, walking the same route to the bus stop, buying similar produce at the supermarket and even holding ourselves in a certain way that characterises our posture. I write my blog every second day; it's something I do and the days and weeks roll by then suddenly I realise that I'm not only older and a bit greyer......
Today I am writing the 500th blog on this site. How did that happen?! As I said, writing is something I do on a regular basis just as much as anything else then suddenly I take note of the total of entries and see that I've written five x 100 entries. What on earth have I found to write about to achieve such a ........round figure? If you've been reading my blogs regularly then I'd like to thank you for logging on to the site and for your continued interest in my daily musings and drivel. I feel that I should pat you on the back for having had such stamina!
Naturally postural issues have been a major part of my writing given that my profession is teacher of the Alexander Technique, but if you've been visiting for some time, you may have come across entries on topics ranging from extreme ironing, porridge, violin, chocolate, letter writing, voice, sex appeal and attractiveness, flowers (in particular tulips) to the power of positive thinking, being healthy, successful and generally being happy. After all, the address for this site is www.thinkinghappy.com It's all about those small personal things that help make our life here on earth a happy one.
So hitting 500 is just a number and no difference from any other except that it's a convenient round number. But I feel like celebrating just a little.
So cheers, and thanks for your encouragement. I'm glad you're still here with me.
Now I'll get on with the next 500. :-)

What a lovely time I have had looking round your website. I started with the AT I am/was a teacher. I like the way you present the Technique very much.
Fantastic photos too. Regards, Beverley
