Skipping

carl_and_sara_skipping.jpg If you feel pretty good in anticipation of doing something fun or just happy for whatever reason, then you may like to join the growing worldwide group of people who skip. And if you don't feel very good, then it's time you started skipping. Yes, I do mean skip like a child! When was the last time you skipped for joy? Apparently if we skip along, the process makes feel good and can do wonders for our health and happiness.

You might like to check out the worldwide movement of ISKIP on www.iskip.com where skippers of the world unite. Started in San Francisco it now has followers and indeed skipping Leaders across the country. I wonder if it's happing in the UK yet? Do you know?

Their website states that there are many emotional and physical benefits to skipping. Skipping is an instant mood lifter. They recommend the next time you are feeling down, try skipping just ten steps. Keep in mind that the times you feel like skipping the least are likely the times that you need it the most. Skipping is joyful, light, and free, which are all things that contribute to a positive attitude and feeling great! It is virtually impossible to skip without smiling! Skipping also burns off twice as many callories as walking and some people are even doing 10k and even marathons! There are different types of skipping; there are fast skippers, bouncy skippers, and sassy skippers...Just to name a few.

Worried what other people will say when they see you? Apparently the majority think it looks like great fun and almost feel like joining in. I've yet to try it! Have a read at their site.
